Assessing workplace ergonomics
Using motion capture and wearable sensors, we record postures and movement sequences directly at the workplace. This makes it possible to assess loads, identify critical tasks and compare changes before and after. We present the results so that occupational safety, planning and employees can decide on them together.
The measurement task defines the system
Which movement needs to be captured, what accuracy is required and how much delay is acceptable? These questions guide the choice of sensors, trackers and software. We support experimental design and the technical integration of its components. This can include custom drivers, device interfaces and synchronisation of multiple data sources.
Developing interactive environments
For simulations and VR applications, we develop scenes, interactions and the accompanying analysis software. Experience with graphics engines helps match rendering quality and computational cost to the available hardware. For ergonomic questions, we compare behaviour in the virtual scene with the same task at the real workplace.
Verifying both technology and experiment
We agree checks for measurement quality, repeatability and the complete experimental procedure. Depending on scope, the handover includes software, interface documentation and a description of the setup. Research devices and experimental systems are described according to their actual maturity; medical device approval is a separate undertaking.
